dunno whats wrong but wenever windower does its "checking updates" thing wen the game starts it crashes =T heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp T_T

so i finally got around to reinstalling ffxi on my comp (finally after i moved and got settled in). i installed windower, but now i get that "failed to initialize direct3d driver etc etc" right when it leaves POL to go into the window for ffxi, it crashes and i get that error showing up in POL. i know ive seen this error before, and resolved it...i just cant remember how i fixed it before. it was something simple. any ideas?

honestly couldnt tell u.. my problem is as soon as it gets off pol to the ffxi screen it crashed.. the whole end process thing. it happened after the update =T n this forum is very inactive dont know if there will be any solution i could find. only way is to actually go in game without windower n see if anyone had this problem

yeah thats where it crashed for me, when it jumps from pol to ffxi...its frustrating because i know ive had this problem before, and it was a relatively simple fix if i remember correctly. ah well, i'll get it soon enough.

so i got this fixed...or rather...aikar got this fixed (im assuming). there's a new windorwer version that mentioned compatibility with windows 7. i installed it, and got ffxi running in windower. yay, now i can play some ffxi!

Sorry for super late reply. I got it fixed a while back as well. Funny thing is I haven't even been on only but a couple times since then but, I just found out about the new avatars and interested in doing pup now. haha x.x
